Organic farmers regularly face difficulties with weeds especially after harvesting coriander and cumin crops. To control weeds, he suggests making a solution using 10 l cow urine, one kg cow dung, 250 g crystal sugar and 50 g calcium carbonate with 5 litres of water. Filter this solution and spray on the weeds to get effective results. However, the farmer warns that this procedure should be done before sowing coriander or cumin. This is because weeds grow faster than these crops and spraying this solution on these crops may affect them adversely. Hence, care should be taken to spray this solution before sowing.
